Milan Fashion Week

When I was 16, I got a great opportunity to live in Milan for about 2 months. I can honestly say, this experience changed my life competely. Suddenly I felt so free (and sometimes very hungry because I could cook basically nothing:D). Since then, Milan means for me a lot, it is an inseparable part of my life. When I am thinking about this city, words like liberty, freedom, fashion and party came to my mind and I have to smile... That is why I am so excited about fashion weeks here. This city just breaths with fashion in every street! :) Lets enjoy it!

Alberta Ferretti - romantic collection for both young lady and also sophisticated "femme fatale". Alberta Ferretti used only high quality materials like silk and velvet, which underline a true feminity.

Blumarine - the first part of the Blumarine collection was focused on pastel colors, in the other we could see dippy shapes and patterns and transparent materials. It reminds me like a little girl finds a strong indipendent woman inside.

Bottega Veneta - simple silhouettes of sand-glass, frizzy hair and beautiful make-up with red lips.
Dolce & Gabbana - designer duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana take us this season to Ancient Byzantine Empire and Venetian cathedrals. Religious motives, icons, gold and lace dominated on their clothes. Models wore  crowns and crosses jewellery, which exponentiate the trip to the ancient times of the Crusades, kings and popes.

Dsquared2 - another trip to the past, but not so far away. Dan and Dean Caten took us with their collection to the year 1940 with all its beauties (this decade of 1940ties is a Top Fall trend in general in Milan). I personally like this collection the most of all "the 40ties inspired". It has something "up-to-date" and modern. I also appreciate accessorises and fancy-work on evening gowns. Very chic! :)

Emilio Pucci - creative manager Peter Dundas described this collection: "I make clothes that women want to put on and men want to take off." I think no more words are needed... :)

Emporio Armani - another trip to the past, but this time all attention was taken by the hats- there was no bare head in the whole show. All of them made of luxury materials of course.

Etro - dark jackets, trousers or skirts were matched to the impressive kaleidoscopic patterns and together make a coctail of interesting collection.
Fendi - fun furs! They define the new Fendi collection probably the best. :) Btw, this one was the 96th collection for this house by Karl Lagerfeld. Congrats!
Gianfranco Ferré - Federico Piaggi and Stefano Citron made a clear and unique collection for Gianfranco Ferré fashion house. They bet on oversized fur-coats and jackets, big belts and a little bit shiny materials used on evenig dresses with interesting design.
Giorgio Armani - Armani is obviously obsessed with hats this year! :) This line of his empire seem to me more accurate when compared to the first one. I personally like feminine silhouettes on the jackets, precise fancy-work and little pearls on evening robes, bags and clutches! :)

Gucci - Gucci means for a long time pure luxury and this year is not an exception.

Iceberg - Big rounded shoulders, pleated leather pants, acid pastels, novelty sweaters. Iceberg bet on knits not only on pullovers, but also on sweater dresses and cardigan coats to keep their customers warn during rainy fall.

Jil Sander - simple elegancy is typical for Jil Sanders newest collection. Jil said about it, it was supposed to represent the cut of a diamond, something rare and precious.
Just Cavalli - Just Cavalli is line dedicated to young people, young ladies. They are self-confident, extrovert and full of life just like the collection full crazy patterns, colors and mini lenghts.

Marni - Consuelo Castiglioni used masculine flannels and tweed, but she cut them into angular silhouettes  and paired with riding boots. She also softened the hard edge with feminizing details such as corsets, bustiers, organza inserts and fur scarfs.
MaxMara - fashion house MaxMara chose for this season earthy colors with domination of shades of brown. Their models are positively giantic with lots of layers to keep you warm.
Missoni -confluent materials dominated on Missoni show. Some coats may remind bath robes, but I suppose that was an intention. I personally like the tights.
Mochino - this Mochino show was my cup of tea! :) I am really into preppy style lately, tweed, checked patterns, double-row closing, cute skirts and dresses... The big "M" emblems may seem too much, but in my opinion they mold the real "a prestige school outfits".

Prada - Miuccia Prada belongs to my favourite designers, but this collection, honestly, is not according to my taste. Season for fall 2013 she dedicated to style from black&white movies. I appreciate the silhouettes and trasparetnt materials and I really like the grey coat in the middle. :)

Roberto Cavalli - coctail of darkness, decadence, old-school with modern features and clear sexual overtones. "Excess is my success," qouth Roberto Cavalli and words were never truer... :)

Salvatore Ferragamo - for Massimiliano Giornetti coats are the new accessorises, which is very important during cold and rainy fall. That is why his collection was focused especially on outerwear.

Sportmax - another mostly outerwear collection. Simple but high quality materials led the show and "A" silhouettes look fresh and young.

Trussardi - layering, oversized coats re-bound with belts, prints on special pieces... The clothes have a relaxed confidence.
Versace - actually I am not a big fan of Versace, it seems to me "over-the-top". But in every collection I can find some favourites, so here they are... :)

Hope you enjoyed my MFW mix. :) All the pictures are from style.com. :)
